Rare Ogygopsis typicalis – Middle Cambrian, Nevada

A nice 3.5 cm example of Ogygopsis typicalis from the Pyramid Shale of Nevada. The genus is famously associated with the Burgess Shale for its wide occurrence throughout the Stephen Formation. Good examples of this species are very hard to obtain. This specimen is complete with both free cheeks. The right genal spine is reduced to an outline but is still present.
